The infamous Mook's of youtube

  Mook= someone portraying an obnoxious and wild lifestyle, typically an influence to young males. Sounds like a 'cool' person right? Well maybe to some but to others this type of character seems miserable to be around. Some of the most infamous Mook's of the youtube scene are the infamous Logan and Jake Paul brothers that do outrageous stunts and pranks on their Youtube channels. As well as David Dobrik and the whole 'vlog squad' as a whole who tend to act as one big mook squad as they all portray the same personality. Typically popular among a younger audience of elementary school kids to middle school pre-teens, they give off a wanna-be personality of not giving a care in the world and treating everyday practically as if it's their last. For those much older than them like those  above these mid 20 year olds, they are probably seen as tormenting brats, trotting around the world like some big douche-bag making everybody else's lives harder. On the other hand though, for those included in the younger audience they seem like an adventurous personality that don't have to worry about the common struggles of a job, education or of money but simply tease one another with pride. Which is exactly what media channels love to put out into the world shaping newer generations after generations trying to target the ultimate bad-ass character. To some they are admired and others despised, but it creates the goal of social outlets which is to make money off these Mooks.

    I agree with your statement about calling the Paul brother mooks because they do really dumb stunts in order to gain attention; regardless if its positive or negative. I think that mooks can mainly be seen as "role models" for elementary kids because they are still so young and want to be able to do the things they see their favorite stars doing.

Killing Eve, BBC show

   One of my favorite shows, Killing Eve, just came out with season two. Based around a spy expelling of horrible people from the world, or simply killing people who step into her path, the excitement around it all is what connects people to the story. What really drew me in and what I'm assuming brought others in as well was the fact of how in reality there are many terrible people that a lot wish to get rid of, especially head leaders of countries. So as the main character Villanelle, kills infamous people with a dark crime it allows us to go into this fantasy world which at some point in time we wish similar events like in the show happened in real life. I also believe what gets people so interested in it is how Villanelle can snap in any moment, which leaves us as the viewer with suspense at the ending of every scene or episode.         Sports fans, not everyone cares what you're talking about Whether you're kicking, tossing, hitting, catching or doing what not with a ball in a sport, then you are obviously focusing on your game and attempting to win. Yet if you're the one watching the game unfolding, whatever type of sport, you are focusing on the team that you're rooting for. Once the game is over and if your team won, congrats!!!!! The talk about sports should stay in the game time, pretty much what happens in the stadium stays in the stadium. If you and one other person decide to talk about sports at school across the room, everyone else in the class can hear, and everyone else does not care as they have most likely already gotten over the fact that their team won or lost.
